You can say it all started because of the Chicago Bears. Jill Pedigo didn't lose her love for the Bears when she moved from Naperville, IL to Osprey, FL. "As football season began, we trekked to the local sports bar with my father, "Jack Daddy", to watch the Bears, but they were always on the worst TV with no sound," she wrote. "During a game, my father said, ‘We should get our own bar so we can get a good spot.' The light bulb went off.

"Within days, my husband, Geno, and I were sitting at a nearby beach bar that was for sale. By the end of the season, we convinced my sister, Beth, and her husband, Keith, to partner, and we owned and actively managed SKOB. Every Sunday, during game day, the restaurant transforms into a sports bar with the Bears on the best TVs with audible play-by-play."
